Menia's Academy offers 1-1 private sessions in our Charlotte studio. Sessions are taught and done along side creative director Menia. If you are interested in taking your sewing skills and creating a fashion collection and have a desire to learn the design development process from the very beginning (sketch to ideation), then this is course for you. Course Description Level: Intermediate Price: $850 , Deposit: $425.00, remaining balance must be paid in full at start of course. Invoice will be sent upon booking. Duration: 5 weeks, BONUS 6 week Location: Online or In-Person You will learn how to research and design a collection from scratch. Quickly progressing to a more accomplished level of fashion branding, creating your own signature label. In this course you will develop a sound set of fashion study, development skills, knowledge of fabrics, design and drawing techniques. This intermediate fashion design course will give you the confidence to design on your own collection and teach you to attempt to be more confident and ambitious as you enter into the fashion industry. Course Schedule This fashion design course is usually made up of 5 x 90 min sessions run over 5 consecutive weeks. (1 sessions per week) Week 1: Designer Discovery Week 2: Textile and Color Theory Week 3: Fashion Drawing and Research Week 4: Designing a Mock Collection Week 5: Portfolio Presentation Prep Week 6: BONUS *** Specific to student Benefits of this course: Working alongside 1-1 with a design professional.
